Conferences

The On Common Ground series of conferences ran from 1996 to 2009. The conferences consisted mainly of papers, with some practical sessions and workshops. Copies of the abstracts of different events can be found in our blog, and are linked to on the page below.

The study forums held in 2013 and 2015 had two days of workshops and presentations, guided by leading researchers, teachers and performers. Due to the practical nature of most of the sessions, the proceedings are not being published, but some authors have provided papers that can be downloaded from the study forum pages.

The conference on Histories of the Morris in 2017 was organised in partnership with The English Folk Dance and Song Society, supported by The Morris Ring, The Morris Federation and Open Morris.
